The sixth annual Don Haig Award of $10,000 was presented to Montreal filmmaker Brett Gaylor (RIP: A Remix Manifesto ) during the closing awards ceremony of the 14th annual Hot Docs Festival in Toronto. Tracey Deer (Club Native) was also presented with a Special Jury Prize Award of $10,000.
This is the first year the Don Haig Award was presented in partnership with the Documentary Channel.
